Deanna A. Bishop graduated with honors from Liberty University with a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision and Troy University with a Master of Science degree in Counseling and Psychology. She is also a graduate of Clemson University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. She has worked in the counseling and psychology field for several years as a licensed mental health counselor supervisor (FL) and licensed professional counselor (S.C.) serving multiple populations in community care and private practice settings. Dr. Bishop’s clinical focuses are trauma in adults and children, personality disorders, and depression and anxiety. Her research interests are narcissistic personality disorder, therapeutic interventions for childhood trauma, attachment issues, and counselor supervision. Dr. Bishop teaches counseling graduate courses and employs innovated methods of teaching future counselors. Currently, she resides in Greenville, South Carolina. In her spare time, Dr. Bishop enjoys hiking in the nearby Blue Ridge mountains, spending time with family and friends, and traveling.
